Aveo Carindale event coordinator Deborah likes to think outside the box when booking performers for this retirement village, having organised a drag act in the weeks before. Evidently the Squirrels also did not disappoint with their 45-minute show:

We were the surprise guests at Vicky's 70th birthday party. Her daughter Sam, who organised the event, gave us a little bit of background about her mum, so we were able to come up with a programme tailored just for her. Damian had to look away when he noticed a tear in Vicky's eye during his rendition of that classic Bread chart, 'If' – apparently it was 'Mum and Dad's song' back in the day. We received this lovely feedback:

We were the surprise entertainer's at Aidan's 10-year service celebration, one of our early corporate gigs in Brisbane. Aidan, good sport that he is, joined us in singing a tag from the barber's chair, generating much hilarity from the audience. Organiser Ashley sent us this response:
